An Amy Sacks Cartoon

 

 

A drawing as rich as her collages with inside jokes and cultural references, not to mention food and drink.
Well, drink. Most of these characters are Amy’s, the woman slumped over the bar is supposed to be me.

Very fitting that there is an Allan Sherman song quoted here, whose works Amy introduced me to along with
Stan Freberg and Tom Lehrer. In fact, Tom Lehrer supplied me with the title for this journal entry.
My second choice was another line from Tom’s song “Bright College Days”: “Sliding down the razor blade of life.”
