A solstice themed art print featuring the two leads of my comic Dicebox.
A fanciful interpretation of the Saami goddess Beiwe derived from this description:
"The Saami, indigenous people of Finland, Sweden and Norway, worship Beiwe, the sun-goddess of fertility and sanity. She travels through the sky in a structure made of reindeer bones with her daughter, Beiwe-Neia, to herald back the greenery on which the reindeer feed. On the winter solstice, her worshipers sacrifice white female animals, and with the meat, thread and sticks, bed into rings with ribbons [sic]. They also cover their doorposts with butter so Beiwe can eat it and begin her journey once again."

In 2011, I produced the first collection of my serialized graphic novel, Dicebox, Wander, a 316 page book in both hardcover and softcover editions. I handled all the design and layout work as well as working with the printer in prepping the files for production.
In addition, I created two pieces of art specifically for this book, one for the wrap around cover and the other for an introductory spread.
This book is for sale in my online store.

Shaenon Garrity, the artist of the popular webcomic Skin Horse asked if I might do a piece of art for the second collection of the same; being a fan, I was delighted to. This piece references a specific storyline with in the comic which has allusions to werewolves as well as "Little Red Riding Hood" which inspired the story book vignette treatment of the art.

This series of illustrations was done for a previous incarnation of jennmanleylee.com, from 2009 to 2012. Beyond supporting the design, I wanted to demonstrate my range of skill in handing a variety of subjects within a simple but stringent set of constraints; the monotone approach and champagne glass silhouette.
