This is not a Con Report

So I don’t really have much of a Con Report. Nor did I take photos. Heck, I didn’t even bring a camera. But Lori did–she took the photo above plus a whole bunch more. And as I had the pleasure of hanging out with her for the bulk of the Con, we did pretty much see the same things and drank very similar drinks.
I actually had a real great time. As usual, it was hard to find the comics, but I did find some excellent ones, mostly minis from assorted Modern Tales creators, the latest Dumbrella books and Issac the Pirate 2. I also picked up some swank t-shirts ( this that and one that Lori got ), an awesome kids’ book and some medical illustration plates from the 1840s.
Nothing really exciting to report, just lots of good food, good conversation and the usual stimulation overload of the SDCC. Really, the biggest adventure was me getting to the Con which ended with Lori and I arriving at the San Diego Airport in attempts to retrieve my luggage. Which we did after a game of musical shuttles, exploring a ghost terminal and an aggravating game of telephone.
I should mention now that Dicebox will be delayed this week: beyond the fact that SDCC always taxes my energy levels and immune system, I returned to Portland’s traditional post-SDCC heat wave, which neither I nor my equipment responded to well at all. (Seriously, this is the fourth San Diego in a row that I left a cool and pleasant Oregon and returned to a three day heat wave.)
Anyway, look for new Dicebox this weekend, probably Sunday. As usual, I’ll post notice here.
